Promoters FootballCV, are running a charity football match for Help For Heroes between the Military Medical Corps and a 'legends' team, that will also be an opportunity to watch one of the Sky Blues' legendary striking partnerships.
The event will be held at the Ricoh Arena, on Sunday, May 4th and will consist of a fans zone, military wives and bands, alongside the 90 minute match.
Legends will include former city players Dion Dublin,Darren Huckerby,Lee Carsley and Matt Jansen, along with Alan Stubbs, Ugo Ehiogu, David Hillier, Frank Sinclair, Clayton Blackmore, and others still to be announced.
The game has the backing not only of the charity and the players taking part, but the League Managers Association and the PFA. With the support of City fans, let's hope the day will raise tens of thousands for the charity.
We are delighted to report that the Coventry City FC Supporters team have made it through to the final of the IFA Midlands Cup.
The team which is sponsored by the Sky Blue Trust and made up of die hard Sky Blue fans will take on West Bromwich Albion FC supporters in the final which takes place in Eccleshall,Staffordshire on Friday May 9th with a 7pm kick off.
The Sky Blue Trust would like as many of our members as possible to get behind the team in this prestigious match.
We will therefore be running a coach to the game. This will depart Coventry Sports Centre,Fairfax Street at 3.30pm.
The cost of the coach will be £10 for adults, £5 for children and seniors.
It would be fantastic to have a good turn out for the lads to spur them onto victory in what will be a very difficult game.
