An auditor had recently been identified.  The accounts will be circulated as soon as the audit is complete.

Election of Board members

The Secretary reported that four valid nominations had been received for the four Board vacancies.

It was agreed unanimously that Rachael Brown, John Fletcher, Frank Smith and Bruce Walker be elected to the Board.

Resolution proposed by Bruce Walker

A resolution proposed by Bruce Walker at the AGM on 21 July had been deferred for consideration at this meeting.  In light of the developments since that date, Bruce withdrew the resolution but asked that its paragraphs 3. and 4, i.e. those asking the Trust to:

3. Take over the petition and use the Trust's fighting fund, other resources and links with Supporters Direct and other fan groups to promote it; and

4. Start a campaign of contacting known or suspected SISU investors, drawing their attention to the current position be kept under review by the Board.

This was agreed.

Open Forum

Questions were asked about the Trust’s discussions with the CEO of Wasps. Jan Mokrzycki gave a summary of the meeting, which has been circulated to members by email.

A member asked when the Trust will look at the current poor performance of the team on the field.  Moz Baker reported that Steven Pressley will be attending the Trust’s next Open Meeting, on 3 November when members will be able to ask him questions about that.

A member asked what the Club are doing to improve match day attendances at the Ricoh Arena.  It was suggested that the Trust should conduct a survey of its members to ascertain the reasons for low attendances.

A question was asked about steps the Trust could take to make the Ricoh’s concourses appear to be more like the home of the Sky Blues. It was agreed that the Trust should work with the Club and the stadium owners about that.

A member asked whether the Trust would take forward a proposal from CCFC supporters to “Pack out the Butts” to show solidarity to supporters of Coventry RFC.  It was agreed that the Board would consider that.

NB - the Board subsequently did so and agreed that, if such a request is received from the Rugby Club or its supporters, the Trust will look sympathetically at that.
